Worship
Worship will form the foundation for our days, since we believe that the chief end of man is to “glorify God and enjoy him forever.” We will have regular times of singing and prayer; we will be part of a local church; and we will choose to live in thanksgiving and joyful service.
Beauty
Beauty, we believe, is not a frivolous addition to a functional life. Rather, it is deeply connected to the point of life–glorifying God and enjoying him. Beauty shapes our minds, and awakens us to truth and goodness. We are committed to loving stewardship of the land, to buildings that nurture humans body and soul, and to the support of art.
Study
Study–the practice of committed learning–is also central to our vision. We want to be growing, and never stagnant, using our minds as well as our souls and bodies to worship. We believe that Scripture is our prime authority, and that studying it leads to growth and health. We believe that the good life is full of many other books, as well, including the “book of nature” and the “book” of each other.
